What is the Intellistat Ion Air Nozzle?
The patent-pending Intellistat ionic air nozzle is another new innovation in a long line of Exair static electricity elimination solutions. This intelligent product uses balanced and ionized compressed air to neutralize static electricity and remove interfering particles during clean processes, test procedures and sensitive assembly operations.
The Intellisat Ion Air Nozzle design incorporates a +/- 30 volt offset so it uses minimal compressed air while delivering precise blow-off and exceptional static decay rates. These are capable of reducing 1000 volts below one second to less than 100 volts.
The design incorporates an efficient low-voltage transformer that converts 120 volts to 24 volts. This ensures safety at the unit. It also uses Exair-designed air nozzles to ensure that all OSHA requirements for sound levels and dead-end pressure are met.
Cleanroom classification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14644‑1
Like the flexible Intellistat Ion Air Gun, this fixed-mounted ionizing air nozzle is also suitable for use in cleanrooms or controlled environments and has been classified as ISO Class 5 in accordance with ISO 14644‑1.
ISO Class 5 corresponds to a maximum allowable particle concentration of 3,520 particles ≥ 0.5 µm per cubic metre of air, as defined in ISO 14644‑1. The classification specifies the airborne particle cleanliness level based on particle size and concentration limits, ensuring controlled conditions typically required for sensitive industrial or technical applications.

Why the Intellistat Ion Air Nozzle?
The compact and adjustable holder (made of stainless steel) of the Intellistat Ion Air Nozzle ensures that you can mount the ion air nozzle on table tops and machine frames, for example. This allows for hands-free operation when both hands are needed to pack, test or assemble parts and products.
The Model 8505 is equipped with other convenient features: including the 6-mm push-in air connection and red and green LEDs that indicate proper operation. The Intellistat is made of durable, dissipative polycarbonate for reliable use in applications that do not require conductivity, such as printed circuit boards or electronics manufacturing. It also uses clean, ionized compressed air, which is essential for removing dust, static electricity or particulate contaminants in sterile environments such as laboratories, clean rooms or scientific testing.
How does the Intellistat Ion Air Nozzle works?
Pressing the on/off switch activates the ions and the airflow to eliminate static electricity. Proper or improper operation is indicated by a green or red LED. EXAIR’s non-marking air nozzle provides quiet performance and complies with OSHA regulations.
