The air curtain is available in different material combinations for various temperature ranges. It can be supplied in aluminium with a plastic shim for temperatures up to 82 °C, or in aluminium with a stainless steel shim for temperatures up to 205 °C as a custom-built version. For higher temperature applications, the air curtain is also available in stainless steel with a stainless steel shim for temperatures up to 427 °C. In addition, a version made of PVDF with a PVDF shim is suitable for temperatures up to 135 °C. Temperatures above 427 °C can cause intracrystalline corrosion, which may obstruct the air gap.
